Hallig Langeneß
It is the largest of the Hallig islands and is easily accessible by W.D.R. ships. Once you arrive on Langeneß, the "Hallig Friese" - an original Unimog with trailer - will take you to the sights: the Hallig Museum and the church. If you prefer to get around at your own pace, simply hire a bike on site or walk along the Halligstraße. The Hallig stone edge is also perfect for a stroll. Hallig Hooge
Take one of the ferries or fast connections to the Hallig, also known as the Queen of the Halligs. During the crossing, take in the vastness of the Wadden Sea and perhaps catch a glimpse of the surrounding islands and Halligen. Explore Hooge on foot, hire a bike directly from the jetty or hop into one of the carriages and take a leisurely two-horsepower ride across the Hallig.
Sights include the well-known Königspesel, the Hallig Museum, the Wadden Sea Protection Station with aquariums, the storm surge cinema and the Hallig Church. On the Backenswarft and the Hansewarft, the two largest of the nine terps, there are also various restaurants waiting for you.
Hallig Gröde
Only eight inhabitants, four houses and one Hallig church - that's not much. And yet Hallig Gröde is well worth the detour. It is the smallest community in Germany and offers plenty of space to relax, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A special highlight is the Halligflieder flower, which blooms from the end of June to the beginning of August.
